Objective
Guide the professionals through Islamic teachings and work for the betterment of the society.
Motivation
“You are the best community raised for mankind.”(Holy Quran 3:110)
Activities:
1) Impart learnings from Quran and Hadhith among professionals to inculcate Islamic way of life.
2) Helping the needy professionals in all walks of life.
3) Providing charity services and engage in social activities.
4) Engage in da’wa activities.
5) Encourage harmony between different sections of the society.
Code of Ethics:
The following Quranic verses are the basic code of ethics for the group.
1) “Help one another in what is good and pious, but do not help one another in sin and transgression.” (5:2)
2) “Believers are those) who run their affairs by consultation among themselves.” (42:38)
3) “And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate".(3:103)
4) “O Believers, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those entrusted with authority from among you. Then if there arises any dispute about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day.” (4:59)
Organizational Structure
1) The group will have a core committee of 5 members and will be headed by an Amir.
2) Each of the functions of the group will have seperate focus committees. These committees will be comprised of group members and be headed by a core committee member.
3) A person knowledgeable in Islam will be identified and agreed upon by the members of the core committee for receiving advices.
Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Body
1) The decision on each activity should be taken by Amir after discussion with the members of the core committee.
2) The person knowledgeable in Islam (identified in Organisational structure – point 3) should be consulted for expert opinion with regards to Quran and Hadheeth if difference of opinion arises among members or due to lack of Islamic knowledge on the part of the committee members.
3) For activities affecting the general public and to the whole of the group members, a generic vote/garnering of views from the group members should be done and based on the feedback, the decision should be taken by Amir in consulation with the core committee members.
4) Core committee should discuss the fund forming for the group which would be used in humanitarian needs and helping the poor and needy.
5) Status meetings should be held once in a quarter to broadcast plans for next quarter and also declaration of the income and expenses of the group should be done.
6) Audit of the income of the group by an external auditor should be done once in a year.
7) In case, any core member is going to leave the group, the group should be informed well in advance and a new member should be elected by the core members including the member who is going to leave. It is the moral responsibility of the core committee members to ensure that the group always has its core members who can lead the group for attaining its objectives.
8) Committees and meetings should be convened as and when needed and atleast once in every quarter to know the current position, current plan and future plans of the group.
